Stockingly good fun

This stocking card is a variation of one found in Pinterest....

White base card 21x15 cm folded to standard c6 size. I matted a piece of Stampin' Up real red and then put a piece if white card embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots an top.

I then cut out using various red Stampin Up red patterned papers the stocking using the Stampin' Up stocking punch from 2011 (had to borrow this from Sarah, as I don't have it).

I used the bits left over from yesterday's snow flurry card to do the stocking tops and toes.

I glued each stocking to the Swiss dots using my good old Pinflair. I then used a tiny amount of Pinflair to attach the bells. I was going to use bankers twine, but it didn't look right.  Hope you like!

Nearly Christmas.......

This is my latest version of a card I found on Pinterest. Love this card, so simple and clean. I die cut using Stampin' Up Sizzix Snow Flurry the three silver glitter card snowflakes and built using Pinflair..

I used 'More merry messages stamp set for the greeting, which I stamped in Brilliance starlite black, which gives a very subtle sheen. I hope you like?

Happy Christmas everyone!

Saturdays Christmas Crop

Is it me or is everyone just rushing rushing this year.  Work is busy, home life is busy and time running fast.....

This weekend I was out with the girls at the Monthly Stampers 8 with Gone stampin' again (Pali Ali),

Saturday I was at the Wycombe crop - Here is a picture of my desk with Alison (she's working on her Wembley scrap....

As I was'nt meant to be at the crop this weekend, I ended up  playing the role of Mrs Claus to deliver the secret Santa's presents, funny.... photos to follow, once I can get my hands on some!!

Sunday I was with Sarah in Didcot making a few more Christmas cards for designs you have already seen.  I am working on a design I found on Pinterest and as usual putting my own spin on it.

Saturday 8 December 2012

Here is another card I found on Pinterest.  Love this card.  I also found it on Ebay.com selling for $23.99 for 5!  Blimey!

I used a 300gsm card stock for the actual card.  I used a 280gsm silver brushed card for the first mat and layer.  I then used a white 280gsm card for the embossed snowflake piece, the Maddison Window and the Swiss Dots Embossed piece behind the window frame and piece of acetate.

Using the Martha Stewart Fern punch I cut out 25 'branches' using Stampin Up Always Artichoke.  I stick these down with PinFlair silicone.

I then punched four white 'branches' for the top of the card.  I used a thin piece of white and silver ribbon.

I then printed on silk lining paper the greatings of Happy Christmas and Merry new Year - get it merry (hic) new year :)

I had an order for twenty of these lovely cards (nowhere near the high price of the Ebay ones!!), they took a whole week of evenings and a whole weekend.  I was in my element!

I have also made a few extra, so you might be seeing this again soon!

It's Christmas....... silly games, family fun, lots of food and merriment! - can't wait!

Friday 7 December 2012

This card is a simple white background with a white card mat and layer which has been embossed by the PaperTrey Ink circles embossing matt.

The card stock is 'Taken with Teal by Stampin' Up', the ink is also taken with teal, Stampin up white and Night of Navy for the controller.  The circles in the background are done using versa mark.

The stamp sets used are by Papertrey Ink.  The original designs also come from the Papertrey Ink Blogg, but are my interpretation.

This card is again Papertrey Ink from there blog.  The card stock is a simple black with SU Crumb cake.  The red circles paper is from a PaperTrey Ink pad.

I even used my Mums sewing machine on this card, quite chuffed really.  not so sure my Mum would be, but at least I am using it.......

Thanks for looking

Today's card I chose the wonderfully detailed Serafina Heart from Memory Box.

I chose an A4 sheet of classic navy blue card stock and cut it in half to give me two A6 cards.

I cut the heart out and created two different cards using the positive and negative of the die.

I also chose a white card and placed a piece of red card to show through and cut the front of the card shorter by 5mm so that I have a nice smart red edge also.

I will most likely add a crystal or some stickles for extra bling.  Thanks for looking!

Wednesday 5 December 2012

This time last year we had made the offer a house which had been accepted - its the house we are in now. As, this time last year there seemed little point in putting up the decorations with a move scheduled for 4th January 2012.

On Saturday just gone, before Bob went to play football, he got our Christmas tree and decorations out of the loft and garage.

I spent a couple of hours remembering how to put it all together.

So our tree up and decorated in our usual red and gold.  The first Christmas tree piccie in our new home together.

I hope you like it, I know Missy (our Syrian Hamster) does, she keeps going up to it sniffing it, bless her!

We have lights in the hall, things stuck to windows, lights and baubles everywhere.....

...But I wonder how you put lights on the roof when you have Finlock guttering and we are both afraid of heights - LOL!

All our neighbours have lights outside our little Copse looks wonderful - I guess, we may have to ask them!!
